At APTYCA, our mission is to create versatile activewear products that positively impact the environment, our customers, and everyone involved in our supply chain. We are devoted to maintaining a safe, healthy, and respectful work environment for all team members, whether they are part of our headquarters or our global manufacturing partners. We collaborate with suppliers who share our values of environmental stewardship and ethical business practices.
Our Code of Conduct applies to all suppliers, subcontractors, and sub-suppliers. It outlines our policies on the following areas:
We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, political affiliation, or social origin. Our partners must ensure that hiring and employment practices are based solely on an individual’s ability to perform the job. Any form of discrimination is unacceptable and may result in the termination of our partnership.
The use of child labor is strictly prohibited. All employees must meet the minimum legal working age in their country or be at least 15 years old, whichever is higher. We support educational opportunities for young people and expect our partners to facilitate access to education and training programs for eligible workers.
Employees must be treated with dignity and respect. Any form of harassment, abuse, or disciplinary action that involves physical or psychological coercion is prohibited. Disciplinary policies and procedures should be clearly communicated to employees and administered fairly.
Employment must be voluntary. We do not tolerate any form of forced labor, including slavery, bonded labor, or human trafficking. Employees should have the freedom to terminate their employment after reasonable notice. Partners must ensure that workers retain control over their personal identification documents and have freedom of movement.
Our suppliers must not subcontract any part of the manufacturing process without obtaining prior written consent from APTYCA. Approved subcontractors must comply with this Code of Conduct and are subject to monitoring and auditing.
Suppliers must comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations, including labor, health and safety, and environmental laws. Legal requirements should be clearly communicated to all employees in a language they understand.
Employees must receive fair compensation that meets or exceeds the legal minimum standards or prevailing industry wages, whichever is higher. Overtime work should be compensated at premium rates as defined by local laws. Wages must be paid in a timely manner, with clear documentation provided to employees.
A safe and healthy working environment is essential for the well-being of employees. Suppliers must provide appropriate safety equipment, training, and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Regular health and safety assessments should be conducted to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Working hours must comply with local laws and should not exceed 48 regular hours per week, with a maximum of 12 hours of voluntary overtime. Employees are entitled to at least one full day off in every seven-day period. Overtime should be voluntary and not a condition of employment.
If housing is provided, it must be safe, clean, and comply with all local health and safety regulations. Facilities should offer adequate space, ventilation, lighting, and privacy. Separate accommodations should be provided for men and women where appropriate.
We respect the rights of employees to freely associate, join trade unions, and engage in collective bargaining. Suppliers must not interfere with or obstruct the formation of such organizations or collective negotiations.
Suppliers must adhere to all applicable customs laws, including those related to the import and export of goods. This includes maintaining accurate documentation and preventing illegal activities such as smuggling or misrepresentation of products.
APTYCA is committed to minimizing our environmental impact. Suppliers are expected to implement sustainable practices, including responsible waste management, reducing emissions, and efficient use of resources like water and energy. Compliance with all environmental laws and regulations is mandatory.
We encourage our partners to continuously improve their operations, striving not only to meet but to exceed the standards outlined in this Code of Conduct. Regular assessments and open communication are key to fostering a collaborative relationship focused on ethical excellence.
